    About Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya was the capital of the Kingdom of Siam for over 400 years before being destroyed by the Burmese in 1767. Today, the Ayutthaya Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring dozens of magnificent temple ruins, Buddha statues, and royal palaces. It is one of Thailand's most important historical sites and an easy day trip from Bangkok.
